02.    Circle Coffee and Cocktails Bar

Interior designer: Lisa Chorna
Project area: 600 sqf
Location: Philadelphia, PA

The design concept centers around transforming the mood of the space: a relaxed coffee shop by day, and an atmospheric cocktail bar by night. Additionally, the venue doubles as a small art gallery showcasing works by local artists. To highlight the artwork, the walls are finished with nude, calming materials, creating a neutral backdrop. Spotlights installed on the ceiling are carefully directed to illuminate the displayed pieces.

During the daytime, warm yellow LED strips on the ceiling bathe the space in a cozy, welcoming glow. As evening falls, the lighting transitions to a vivid violet, dramatically shifting the atmosphere to match the cocktail bar setting.

The main color scheme features shades of violet and green, which are incorporated into the flooring and the bar countertop materials.
At the heart of the space is a large, circular bar that serves as the main focal point.

A standout feature of the design is a striking ceiling installation composed of metal tubes of varying sizes and heights, which also functions as an artistic lighting fixture, adding depth and visual interest to the space.
